About the MAIA Pilot Program

Any 4th or 5th grade teacher with ELLs. Content is based on a 4th grade curriculum and has been adapted for ELLs.

Four lessons will be available for your students.

  • Science: Asteroids, Comets and Meteors
  • Math: Place Value
  • Social Studies: The Original 13 Colonies
  • Language Arts: Adjectives

The pilot will run Oct 28 – Dec 15, 2019. Teacher training webinars will be provided on November 12, 2019 at 1:00pm PST and November 21, 2019 at 1:00pm PST.

This is a unique opportunity to preview a platform that supports ELLs in content areas and enable more effective teaching and learning.

Each lesson takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Following each lesson is a quiz which takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Times vary depending on the level of the student.

To the best of our knowledge, the platform complies with current COPPA requirements.

Each student will be given a unique access code and the link to the student portal url. Student access codes will be assigned by the teacher via the teacher portal.

For the pilot, only Chrome is supported.

Go to the Teacher Portal and look for the student’s name their access code is listed alongside their name.
